Sports Editor

Jada Bratton was named Sports Editor of the Western Carolinian in May 2009 after serving as a sports writer for the WC and completing a semester long editing internship.

A life-long fan of all types of sports, Jada was a varsity basketball athlete at Shelby High School in Gastonia, North Carolina all four years and has also played for AAU basketball teams, including the Forest City Heat and Carolina Stompers.

A past athletic trainer at Shelby High School and current student employee with the intramural teams at Western Carolina, Jada hopes to work within intercollegiate sports after graduating from WCU.

Jada is working toward a B.S. in Communications (Public Relations) and a B.S. in Sports Management (Athletic Administration).
