Restaurant Review: The Rolling Stone Burrito

The Rolling Stone Burrito is proving to be a major hit on campus. Since opening, many of Western’s students and faculty have made it their regular dining hot spot.

Located on Centennial Drive, the Rolling Stone Burrito is not the everyday, ordinary restaurant you find on other college campuses. Its authentic menu items keep people coming back for more, and it will continue to delight for many years to come.

Unlike some traditional Mexican eateries, the Rolling Stone Burrito has many specialty items featured on their menu. From simple tacos to massive burritos served with fresh-made chips and homemade salsa, the Rolling Stone Burrito seems to have something for everyone, and at affordable prices that are very appealing to college students on a budget.

Some of the specialty items include the Beano, a burrito packed with beans, rice, cheese, lettuce and salsa ($5.25), the Flamer, a burrito with your choice of chicken or beef, rice, pinto beans, cheese, lettuce, hot salsa, and a rooster sauce only for $6.25!

If one is not really in to chicken or beef, they can order the Moby Dick, a tortilla crusted tilapia burrito filled with rice, beans, cheese, lettuce, and chipotle sauce ($7.75). For Taco lovers, there is a lot offered on the menu. Starting cheaply at $1.25, tacos named Tucker, Ripple, and Surfer Girl are available, not only by themselves, but as specials as well! If daring enough, one can order a Fire in the Hole Taco on Fridays, and if they eat it, they can have their picture taken and put on the Rolling Stone Burrito’s Wall of Flame. It’s a spicy taco filled with beef, chicken, or bean, cheese, lettuce, and fresh-made fire salsa.

Aside from burritos and tacos, other menu items such as quesadillas and burrito bowls are also offered. For authentic and appetizing Mexican food, the Rolling Stone Burrito is the place to go from Monday through Thursday, 10am-8pm, and Fridays from 10am-3pm.
