WCU will be hosting a health and wellness fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sept. 14 at the catafount to promote student involvement and a balanced lifestyle.
The health and wellness fair will have games, giveaways, and demonstrations. Claire Allison, assistant director for health and wellness education, and organizer of the event, wants the fair to educate students and help them be happy, healthy, and able to thrive.
Eighteen organizations will have booths “full of fun” as described by Allison. A few of the organizations are Health Services, Campus Activities, and the Student Government Association (SGA).
This is the fourth annual health and wellness fair. This event is a part of Western Carolina University’s yearly campus theme, mental health and wellness.
“I think with the theme being mental health this year, it’s really helping a lot. You see some of these mental health events or destress events,” said CJ Mitchell, SGA Student Body Vice President.
