SGA-WCU Discount Cards Now Available

Discount cards are now available for faculty and students in the SGA office (located on the second floor of the UC) between 10 am and 5 pm. These free cards offer great deals at several local businesses including Bella Roma, In Your Ear Music, Meatballs, and Smokey Mountain Video. Discount cards can also be used at businesses in Franklin, Waynesville, and Dillsboro.

Club/Organization Budget Hearings In Progress

Budget hearings for all WCU-recognized clubs and organizations have begun. Budget packets are available in the SGA office until March 18 for those clubs interested in applying for funding for the 2002-2003 school year. If a club does not comply with this procedure, all of its funding will be forfeited. For more information about budget hearings, contact Courtney Newton at 227-7299.

SGA, RSA Join Forces to “Storm” Residence Halls

SGA and the Resident Student Association will hit the residence halls with the first annual “SGA-RSA Dorm Storm” from March 4-7. Members of the executive branch of SGA and student senators will visit different residence halls each night.

Mon. March 4: 8 pm, Scott Blue Lobby; 9 pm, Walker Hall Tues. March 5: 8 pm, Leatherwood and Helder; 9 pm, Albright and BentonWed. March 6: 8 pm, Harrill; 9 pm, BuchananThurs. March 7: 8 pm, Reynolds

Residents will be able to pick up WCU-SGA discount cards, register to vote, and fill out surveys about upcoming construction on campus. This time will also be offered for residents to voice their opinions and pose any questions pertaining to campus life. All residents are encouraged to come out and meet the senators who represent them.

Senator and Justice applications are available in the SGA office. Applicants must have at least a 2.0 GPA.
