Samantha Crotty was named Photo Editor of the Western Carolinian in September 2010 after serving as a staff writer for two full semesters.
With a passion for Art, Samantha took a photography class while she studied abroad in Southern France. After many lessons, she quickly mastered the art of photography, which is the core reason she landed the Photo Editor position.
Outside of school, she has accomplished many things in her writing career. Samantha completed an internship with Perfect Wedding Guide, where she was published in the company’s Fall/Winter 2010 magazine issue. She is currently interning with two other companies, College Lifestyles and Betsy White Stationary, both of which are teaching her new skills everyday.
Samantha is currently a last semester senior working towards a B.S. in Communications with a concentration in Print Media, and a minor in Art. She hopes that after graduation in December she will find a position in the magazine or newspaper industry so she can continue down the writing path.
