Shuttle for students heads to the slopes

Looking for something to do in January and February?

Western Carolina University’s Campus Recreation & Wellness program is hosting a shuttle to the Cataloochee Ski Resort.

These shuttles will leave on Fridays at 4:30 p.m. and students can expect to arrive back at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Center around 11:30 p.m.

Students can go onto myrec.wcu.edu and sign up for the shuttle bus. Sign-ups are due the Friday before the student wants to go.

Students pay a lower cost than normal ski rentals. Prices for students range from $35-$45 per trip. Staff and faculty are also encouraged to sign up for a trip, with prices ranging from $40-$50.

WCU  requires attendees to sign a driving waiver if students plan to drive themselves to the resort.

Don’t miss out on the snow and the memories you can make from skiing down a mountain! Direct your questions and concerns towards Base Camp Cullowhee by calling  828.227.8813 or emailing basecamp@wcu.edu.
