A new tattoo shop, Gemini Tattoo and Body Piercing, is up and running in Sylva beside Cook Out. The studio, established by Curtis Lamoureux, opened July 2022.
The shop is open from noon to 10 p.m. weekdays and noon to midnight Fridays and Saturdays. Gemini Tattoo currently has two artists, Lamoureux and Mollie Harrison, and a piercer, Amber Jones.
Lamoureux has 30 years of experience in the industry. He loves neotraditional and Japanese styles, but is able and ready to tackle all styles. Harrison has two years of tattoo experience and prefers full-color illustrative, realism and surrealism pieces.
When asked why people should seek Gemini Tattoo for their body mods, Lamoureux said simply “I’m a professional.” He focuses on linework, saying he will continue tattooing until his lines get sloppy.
