How Much More of This Do We Have To Endure?

Dear Editor,

I have noticed over the past few weeks that there have been several complaintant letters written to the Western Carolinian. So why not add one more to the collection? With a little over a month remaining in this semester, I think that people should look around, and consider what it is that they have accomplished or are accomplishing in their lives. Time in college should not be spent on worrying about where one is going to park or how loud the Alumni Tower is…it should be spent gaining knowledge, independence, and memories (both good and bad). Think about it. What’s more important? Bitching and whining about bad parking or making something of yourself? Who cares how long it takes you to graduate, as long as you graduate? What difference does it make if you don’t get up-front parking? Everyone could use a little exercise once in a while.

The point I’m trying to make is that in 10 years, you aren’t going to remember the bad things so much as you are the good. Get your education. Make friends. Find something else to do besides go to Wal-Mart (go bowling in Franklin). Suck it up, and let it go.
