Swim Class To Be Offered March 30 – April 3

Western Carolina University will offer an opportunity for adults to learn to swim during a weeklong course Monday, Mar. 30, through Friday, Apr. 3, in the Breese Gymnasium pool.

The course, to meet daily from 5:40 to 6:40 p.m., is appropriate for adults who want to overcome fear of the water, or for others who have minimal swimming skills and want to learn proper techniques and develop survivor skills.

Michael Creason, instructor for the program, is retired as an assistant professor in the department of health, physical education and recreation at WCU. He is certified by the American Red Cross and has been a swimming instructor for more than 30 years.

The cost for high school and college students is $35, the cost for other adults is $40. Preregistration by March 23 is required.
