Daniel Falls joined the Western Carolinian as Features Editor in May of 2009 after contributing a variety of articles to the WC throughout the Spring 2009 semester. A senior graduating in December, expecting to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Daniel plans on pursuing a second degree from Western Carolina, in Physical Therapy. He hopes to eventually start a private practice specializing in pediatric physical rehabilitation.
Daniel has written extensive essays on a wide variety of social issues. They range from economic concerns to social injustices. His ultimate goal at the Western Carolinain is to inform readers of what is going on around them, and relating it to the community and the individual.
Outside of journalism, his primary pursuit in literature has always been poetry. “Although there are periods when I have written very little poetry, I have accumulated a large body of work in this genre.”
